About us

Genomtec is a molecular-diagnostics technology company headquartered in Wroclaw, Poland. Established in 2016, the company develops integrated solutions for professional point-of-care and near-patient testing, combining proprietary analyser architectures, disposable microfluidic reaction cards, nucleic-acid amplification chemistry, optical detection, software and AI-enabled assay-development workflows.

Integrated molecular diagnostics, closer to the patient

The company brings together molecular biology, microfluidics, electronics, photonics, mechanical engineering, embedded software, quality management and product-development capabilities. Its work is directed toward translating technically complex molecular assays into automated, compact and practical diagnostic workflows.

The company’s flagship project is Genomtec ID. Its creation and commercialization will allow the diagnostic process to be executed in point of care setting, such as: primary care clinics, pharmacies, doctor’s offices, hospital emergency departments (ERs) without the need for complicated and time-consuming laboratory workflow conducted by qualified personnel. The main benefits of Genomtec ID are: small size of the analyzer, low energy consumption, shortened diagnostic time, wide spectrum and high accuracy of the analysis, as well as affordable price. All these features will put Genomtec ID ahead of other genetic diagnostic devices currently available on the global market.

Genomtec ID

Genomtec ID is a portable, sample-to-result molecular-diagnostics platform under development for professional point-of-care use. The platform integrates automated sample and reagent handling, a disposable microfluidic reaction card, isothermal nucleic-acid amplification, real-time optical signal monitoring and result interpretation within a compact analyser workflow.

Our Technology

The current development programme is focused on rapid respiratory panel, advancing an additional sexually transmitted infection panel as well as scaling-up manufacturing efforts.

The intended professional-use setting includes clinics, primary-care facilities and other healthcare environments where rapid molecular results can support clinical decision-making.

Technology foundation.

Genomtec technology combines controlled thermal management and optical detection with microfluidic reaction-card formats, assay chemistry, firmware and analytical software. The platform architecture is intended to support automated multiplex nucleic-acid testing while reducing dependence on conventional laboratory infrastructure.

Genomtec also develops AI-assisted and in-silico workflows for target selection, primer screening, secondary-structure and interaction analysis, and candidate ranking before wet-lab validation. These tools are intended to reduce design iterations and shorten the path to a viable assay, while laboratory testing remains the basis for analytical verification.

OncoSNAAT

OncoSNAAT is a grant-supported development programme focused on an automated lab-on-chip workflow for detecting clinically relevant cancer-associated genetic mutations from plasma-derived cell-free DNA. The initial programme addresses selected CDx applications.

The programme includes mutation-specific amplification, integration of sample-processing steps, development of a disposable reaction card and development of a dedicated analyser concept compatible with the intended assay workflow.
